Water Hygiene – Team Leader

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Water Hygiene Team Leader to join our Environment and Safety division. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality services, developing teams, and driving operational excellence within a growing and dynamic business.

In this role, you will lead and support a team of field-based technicians, ensuring that client requirements, KPIs, and service standards are consistently achieved. You’ll play a key role in developing your team, improving processes, and maintaining strong client relationships, all while ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance are met. This is a home-based role with national coverage, and will require occasional travel and working away from home, including overnight stays, in line with business needs.

The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):

Our successful candidate will be responsible for a range of duties, including, but not limited to the following:
• Managing the day-to-day operations of your team to ensure high levels of customer service and operational efficiency
• Planning and prioritising workloads for yourself and your team to meet client requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner
• Monitoring team performance, including utilisation, revenue, and fee-earning activities
• Supporting invoicing processes and resolving client queries promptly and professionally
• Leading on recruitment, staff development, performance management, and disciplinary matters
• Delivering training, conducting audits, and carrying out performance reviews to support continuous improvement
• Acting as the first point of contact within your operational area, providing guidance and support as required
• Assisting in the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and procedures to achieve divisional objectives
• Driving improvements in productivity, efficiency, and quality across the Water Hygiene business
• Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and health & safety standards
• Maintaining strong communication with senior management, including escalation of key issues
• Coordinating and participating in meetings as required

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
• Proven leadership and people management experience
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels
• A proactive and solution-focused approach
• High levels of attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment
• The ability to motivate, develop, and inspire a team
• Flexibility to travel and work away from home as required

It is desirable, that you also have some or all of the following:
• A relevant degree or equivalent experience
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience within Water Hygiene or a related field
• Experience in a similar team leader or supervisory role
• Knowledge of industry standards and compliance requirements
