The programme evolved in two key phases: initial technology introduction and infrastructure development (2005-2012), followed by stakeholder capacity building (2013-2016). Supported by EnDev, a multi-donor fund managed by GIZ, the initiative helps users save time and money while reducing deforestation and greenhouse gas emissions. Since April 2023, NBP has been involved in the SEE Clean Cooking programme as part of the Results-Based Financing (RBF) initiative.

This documentary project aims to capture the programme's lasting impact for a maximum of three minutes through personal stories and expert insights, showcasing how biogas technology has become a catalyst for both economic empowerment and environmental sustainability in Cambodia's communities.
