Job Description
Context and purpose of the job
The purpose of an Intern (Promotion and Sales Verification) or Project Assistant in the BEAM+ field operation is to support the development of SMEs, promote gender sensitization for access to markets, manage relationships with local private sector partners, validate data, collect field data, and provide support for other projects as needed. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data, promoting gender equality and inclusiveness in market access, building and maintaining positive relationships with local private and government sector partners, and contributing to the success of projects within the organization. Through this position, the intern needs to add valuable experience in data collection, relationship management, gender sensitization, project management time management, to build the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful result of BEAM+ project
Result areas
Support in beneficiary enrolment and project operations
- To enrol beneficiaries, engage with the communities, engage influential persons for awareness building, mobilize communities.
- Nurture the enrolled beneficiaries to become successful referrer and thus multiply the impact.
- Develop local SMEs to be able to support the referral system and sales tracking.
Data Validation and beneficiary performance monitoring
- To ensure the data quality of RBF/DSS fund management and knowledge management, the intern will be responsible to verify the IVA data and share reports on time.
- The interns will also monitor the local SMEs performance and collect the situational market constraints and report to line manager on time.
Manage different workshops and knowledge manage event
- Managing workshops and knowledge management events with local SMEs, government officials, distributors, and other stakeholders is a key activity in developing and supporting the e-cooking/clean cooking market.
- These events provide a platform for sharing information, exchanging ideas, and building relationships among stakeholders. It also helps to identify new market interventions, such as new products or services, that can help drive growth and support the transition to clean energy.
- By bringing together a diverse range of stakeholders, these events can foster collaboration and support the development of new solutions to the challenges facing the e-cooking/clean cooking market.
- Overall, managing workshops and knowledge management events is a valuable tool for promoting the growth and success of local SMEs and supporting the transition to clean energy/clean cooking market
Reporting and Process improvement
- Support process improvement and report on project activities and findings on a weekly and monthly basis. This will involve conducting analysis of current processes, identifying areas for improvement, and making recommendations for changes.
- Also be responsible for monitoring the implementation of these changes and tracking the impact. weekly and monthly reports to line manager on progress and provide a clear understanding of the impact of the process improvements that is implementing.
- This aspect of intern's role is crucial in ensuring that the organization is continuously improving its processes and operations, and that progress is being effectively communicated to project management team and stakeholders.
Additional task
- Developing and implementing a model for gender inclusion and support for women entrepreneurs in clean cooking market, the project can help to address the barriers to women's entrepreneurship and promote economic growth and development in the project area.

Qualifications
Candidate profile
Basic Requirement: A minimum of one to three years of related work experience implementing projects is required to reach the proficiency level equivalent to a bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline. Competence in analysis and computer technology.
Competencies
- Good knowledge in development working approach and knowledge in Energy & climate change will add value.
- Experience on data management and monitoring tools will be an added value
- Ability to work independently, as well as member of a team, creative, enthusiastic and to be flexible to accommodate the needs of stakeholders
- Good representation and interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills
- Good command of spoken and written English both Bangla & English languages and report writing
- Good IT skills (Ms. Word, Ms. Excel, Ms. Power Point, Photoshop, Internet and E-mail)
Additional Information
Duty Station : Gazipur & Jhenaidah with frequent travel to other project areas
Contract Duration : The duration of the proposed contract is up to 10 months.
Expected Joining Date : As soon as possible.
Working Hours : Full time (minimum of 40 hours per week)
Salary & Benefits : The total Gross salary package (basic salary + House Rent Allowance + Transportation Allowance + Medical Allowance) will range between BDT 57,588 and BDT 62,550 per month, depending on the selected candidate’s work experience.
