Our multi-national team of experts works from our national office in Phnom Penh.
SNV is currently looking for Project Manager ( 2 positions) based in Phnom Penh Office. This positions are opened to national candidate only.
Role of the Project Manager
The Project Manager manages the planning and implementation of the projects, within scope, budget, timeline, and acceptable quality levels along the commitments specified in the contracts signed with the donor(s) and other relevant stakeholders. The Project Manager works in compliance to SNV standards, SNV`s approach to project management, and donor regulations, to achieve high quality and results and deliverables of the project.
Job Description
- Sets up and communicates administrative, governance, accounting, HR, M&E structures and procedures for the project and initiates implementation of the project plan upon approval of donor(s) and Sector Leader in accordance to SNV’s project management procedures, relevant SNV structures and procedures, accounting principles, donor requirements and contracted commitments;
- Lead, manage and motivate the project team, partners and relevant stakeholders. Plans and assigns deliverables and activities, reviews their progress and addresses deviations in terms of timelines and quality, based on project planning, deliverables and budget;
- Manages and accounts for full compliance of administrative, finance and HR components of the project with SNV internal procedures and requirements specified in the donor-, sub-grant-, sub-consultancy-, partner-, consortium- and Local Capacity Builders contracts.
- Ensures collection, consolidation and review of project information, according to SNV’s monitoring and evaluation guidelines. Analyses and provides advice to management how to incorporate the new insights/best practices into the organisation’s policies and practices.
- Contributes to internal and external knowledge development, by full documentation and sharing of project insights and results.
- Ensures lessons learned are shared and applied in daily practice. When applicable can be appointed as (national) focal point of an expertise network.
- Guide, develop, coach and motivates team members.
- Carry out site monitoring visits and engage with stakeholders
- Additional related tasks as from time to time directed by the Sector Leader
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in specialised/ relevant technical field and (min. 7 years) experience in development work and project implementation in relevant topics such such as energy, gender, health, or climate change related projects.
- Ability to ensures progress, and reviews quality of own expertise and ensures client support and satisfaction during projects.
- Demonstrates analytical skills and ability to detect problems, recognise important information and link various data to trace causes of issues and their possible solutions.
- Ability to encouraging and guiding team members in order to make their performance more effective and to enhance their self-perception and problem-solving skills.
- Be able to be setting high quality standards and striving for continuous improvement and quality assurance.
- The ability to hold on to views and plans of action despite adversity.
