Company Description

The SDC-Cambodia Horticulture Project Advancing Income and Nutrition (CHAIN), implemented by SNV as the lead agency in consortium with Swisscontact is currently in a Third phase of 8 years until end December 2022.

With particular focus on the development of the local safe vegetable value chain, CHAIN supports female and male smallholder farmers (including ethnic minorities, where present) in increasing sustainable production, income and resilience in four the provinces Kratie, Stung Treng, Preah Vihear and Oddar Meanchey. The project facilitates the empowering of rural smallholder producer groups in the market system, while working on the market development of local safe vegetables with other market actors.

The CHAIN project has collaborated with PDAFF and private sectors to support the horticulture in each target province, including the covid 19 emergency response which requires extra manpower of the field team to support some activities. According to the discussions with Private company about challenges, they are difficult to invest the manpower to work in remote province like CHAIN from now in order to improve the supply chain of vegetables, therefore they request CHAIN to assign staff to mobilize market actors to support them to coordinate with the vegetable clusters in production plan, agronomy support and logistic arrangement.

Job Description

The objective of the assignment is as follows;

  • Supporting the company to collaborate with CHAIN to coordinate with the vegetable clusters in production plan, agronomy support and logistic arrangement
  • Support CHAIN provincial team for COVID 19 emergency respond intervention
  • Assist the provincial market facilitator to implement some activities related to data collection, M&E, organize some events and meeting with partner


  • Bachelor’s degree/Master's degree in agriculture or related filed
  • At least 1-3 year experiences in Agronomy
  • Demonstrable knowledge, skills and experience
  • In-country network / experience working in Cambodia
  • In-country network / experience working in Cambodia
