Job Description
Become part of the Marketing Intelligence & Technology team and help drive the delivery of marketing analytics, reporting, AI enabled workflows and data driven decision making across SMG. Our team brings together expertise in AI supported automation, marketing analytics, marketing data engineering and science, customer data, reporting, and marketing technology. We work closely with business units and marketing teams to ensure high quality insights, reporting solutions, data activation and practical AI use cases that create measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to support marketing analytics and reporting activities at SMG for our business units. The role requires a strong mix of analytical thinking, hands-on technical skills, excellent communication and willingness to adapt to and incorporate AI automation into analysis and reporting use cases.
Own and drive end to end marketing analytics and reporting initiatives from business need and prioritization to implementation and adoption. This includes ensuring clear scope, priorities, timelines and stakeholder alignment.
Work with BigQuery as the main data warehouse for marketing analytics and reporting, applying good practices around data structure, query performance, partitioning, clustering, and cost efficient data usage also with respect to future AI use cases.
Contribute to the design and adoption of AI-supported analysis and reporting workflows by helping define suitable use cases, process designs, quality controls, and stakeholder enablement materials.
Develop, maintain, and improve dashboards, ensuring strong usability, clear visualisation of KPIs, consistent reporting logic, and effective adoption by business stakeholders.
Collaborate closely with data engineer and data scientist in the team as well as other marketing teams, analysts and engineers to translate business questions into clear marketing analyses, reporting concepts, AI workflow inputs and actionable deliverables with strong internal customer focus.
Own quality assurance of marketing analyses, dashboards, reports and AI supported outputs by reviewing logic, business relevance, data consistency, usability, and clarity of insights.
Support marketing measurement and data activation initiatives across various channels, including topics such as campaign performance, marketing effectiveness, experimentation, data activation and marketing mix modelling.
Evaluate and improve how recurring marketing questions can be addressed through a combination of data models, dashboards, automated reporting, and agentic or AI-assisted workflows, with a strong focus on practicality, reliability, and business impact.
Qualifications
You have a degree in marketing, economics, business administration, data analytics, information systems, or a related discipline, and you have gained experience in marketing analytics, reporting, or data driven project delivery.
You have 3+ years of experience in marketing analytics, data analytics, business intelligence, analytics engineering, or a similar data driven role.
You understand marketing KPIs, campaign performance measurement, reporting processes, and the role of data in driving marketing and business decisions across different marketing channels.
You have experience in applying AI-enabled tools and have a strong interest in applying them thoughtfully in analytics, reporting, or workflow automation contexts.
You are able to critically assess AI-generated results, identify risks or limitations, and apply sound judgment before insights are shared or operationalised.
You have practical experience working with business stakeholders and translating business needs into analytical, reporting, data models, dashboard requirements and AI supported workflow designs.
You demonstrate strong ownership, initiative, and proactiveness, with the ability to independently manage tasks, coordinate stakeholders, and drive progress across multiple topics.
You have at least intermediate SQL knowledge, hands-on experience with dbt (or similar data transformation frameworks) and the visualization of that data in Tableau dashboards (or similar BI tools).
You have hands-on experience working with Google Analytics Data, both in the interface as well as exported raw data in BigQuery.
You are a team player, enjoy collaborating with others, and are motivated by creating practical solutions that help stakeholders make better decisions.
You are fluent in English.
Your application will stand out if you have:
Experience in a fast moving environment such as a startup, scale up, marketplace, digital business, or data driven marketing organisation.
Experience or interest in marketing mix modelling, experimentation, customer data platforms, marketing automation, or AI enabled analytics tools.
Python knowledge, workflow automation tools, or agentic development frameworks (such as LangGraph).
German language knowledge.
