Job Description

Join us in this exciting role as Product Manager for Automotive Shared Services. This is a part-time position with a workload ranging from 50% to 80%. With positive and energetic approach, you will oversee the planning and execution of key initiatives that maintain and evolve our platform's core capabilities, including infrastructure, security, user authentication and authorization, behaviour tracking, and fraud detection solutions. Your work will ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of the foundation that supports our entire marketplace, enabling seamless user experiences and driving business success.

About the Role


Our AutoScout24 and MotoScout24 brands are two of the leading Swiss marketplaces for listing and searching motor vehicles, reaching thousands of users daily. In this role, you will manage and enhance critical platform capabilities that form the backbone of our marketplace. From ensuring robust and scalable infrastructure to advancing our authentication and authorization systems, implementing secure and seamless user experiences, and refining our behaviour tracking and fraud detection solutions, your contributions will be pivotal.
You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, security, and business stakeholders to deliver projects that ensure platform stability, security, and innovation. Your primary responsibility is to lead a cross-functional agile team to deliver platform capabilities that are reliable, scalable, secure, and impactful.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Shape the vision, strategy, OKR’s and KPIs for core platform services, including infrastructure, authentication and authorization, user behavior tracking, and fraud detection, aligning initiatives with business goals to support marketplace growth and resilience.
  • Manage the project roadmap and lifecycle: Leverage technical insights, system metrics, and emerging industry trends to prioritize impactful initiatives and ensure the team focuses on high-value, high-impact outcomes.
  • Act as a bridge between stakeholders, including engineering, security, business teams, and external partners, integrating diverse perspectives into platform development and ensuring alignment across teams.
  • Collaborate with technical experts to identify and implement infrastructure upgrades, security patches, and scalable solutions for user authentication, tracking, and fraud prevention.
  • Collaborate with Group Data Compliance & Group Security teams to ensure regulatory compliance, alignment and adherence to group level tooling, standards and initiatives.
  • Evaluate the success of platform initiatives using both quantitative and qualitative metrics, conducting system health checks, stakeholder feedback sessions, and post-implementation reviews to ensure alignment with business needs and technical standards.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks, ensuring platform services remain secure, compliant, and reliable in a fast-evolving environment.
  • Maintain high standards of platform quality, taking ownership of performance, security, and process efficiency across all delivered solutions.
  • Support the team in iterative planning activities and ceremonies.

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of experience in a technical project management or engineering leadership role, with a proven record of delivering impactful infrastructure, security, or platform-based solutions, ideally in a SaaS, marketplace, or similar technical environment.
  • Expertise in platform development, particularly in cloud-based infrastructure, authentication systems, and scalable APIs, ideally within a marketplace or high-traffic environment.
  • Strong experience working with cross-functional teams (engineering, security, UX/UI designers, operations, and business stakeholders) and managing distributed teams.
  • Proficiency in analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data to inform technical decisions, with experience in using performance metrics and system monitoring tools. Familiarity with A/B testing and data-driven decision-making is a plus.
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical decisions and the rationale behind them, with the confidence to make independent decisions while supporting team collaboration.
  • Ability to build strong, collaborative relationships across teams, departments, and hierarchies, including with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ownership mentality: Eager to take accountability for delivering platform stability, security, and performance outcomes by collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Understanding of legal, security, and regulatory considerations surrounding user data, privacy, and fraud prevention is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business, or related fields.
  • Fluency in English is a mandatory requirement, German is a plus.
  • Knowledge of agile frameworks such as Kanban/Scrum.
