YOUR ROLE AT SIXT

• You will manage, operate, and continuously optimize our SAP system landscape, supporting our high-volume, global mobility operations — spanning dozens of countries, legal entities, and regulatory environments — processing millions of transactions daily.
• You will play a key role in our ongoing SAP S/4HANA transformation, owning the technical foundation of our SAP platform: system installations, upgrades, migrations, OSS note implementation, and transport management across our international landscape.
• You will collaborate closely with cloud-platform and infrastructure engineering teams to ensure our SAP systems run reliably and securely on AWS, our hyperscaler of choice, within our cloud-native architecture and microservices ecosystem, as well as our classic stack.
• You will partner with SAP functional consultants, architects, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate operational requirements into stable, performant, and future-proof SAP Basis configurations that scale with our rapid growth.
• You will establish and enforce best practices for SAP Basis operations, monitoring, performance tuning, security, and patching across all our international locations, ensuring top-tier availability and reliability for our enterprise systems.
• You will create and maintain technical documentation for our SAP landscape and support internal and external audits by ensuring our systems operate in compliance with GDPR and other applicable regulatory requirements.

YOUR SKILLS MATTER

• Experience You are passionate about SAP Basis administration and bring 5+ years of hands-on experience managing and optimizing complex SAP landscapes in international, high-availability environments.
• Systems You have successfully participated in SAP R/3 to S/4HANA migrations, including system conversions and new implementations; you are deeply familiar with both environments and master SAP Basis administration for S/4HANA, including HANA database administration, system monitoring, and transport management (TMS/CTS).
• Technologies You have proven experience with SAP cloud and hybrid environments on AWS, and are proficient with SAP Solution Manager or SAP Cloud ALM for monitoring and operations; experience with SAP integration middleware (PI/PO, CPI) or SAP Fiori administration is a plus.
• Infrastructure & Security You bring solid knowledge of underlying OS and infrastructure (Linux, virtualization), SAP security concepts (roles, authorizations, user management), and experience with backup, recovery, and high-availability/disaster-recovery solutions (e.g., SAP HANA System Replication); familiarity with GDPR requirements and audit support in an SAP context is a plus.
• Communication You are a clear and confident communicator who can translate technical complexity into actionable insights and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across functional, engineering, and management levels.
