Job Description

Responsible for all IT-related issues and daily user IT activities of the KMT North America business unit and KMT global users with support to overlapping time zones. Implements and maintains SHAPE-wide and site-specific IT systems and tools for KMT NA, Europe, and Shape Global. Follows established operating policies and procedures to mitigate risk. Familiar with various concepts, practices, and procedures at KMT North America and the Shape Technologies Group. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks; a wide degree of creativity, good communication, and attitude.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides technical support to end users
  • Track all IT issues and requests using the IT Service Desk System; Ensure that all Service Desk requests receive fast and effective responses and that all requests for assistance are resolved, escalated correctly, and that users are always apprised of the progress of their request.
  • Responsible for Active Directory and Application-Level account provisioning and management
  • Monitor all local and cloud-hosted IT systems including core business applications like Windows, Office, and ERP systems at KMT North America, including monitoring IT service desk globally.
  • Add sub-components and upgrades such as memory, network cards, and drives to computers and peripheral devices.
  • Install, support, and maintain applications such as Office suites, backup software, anti-virus products, in-house applications, communication programs, and other business software.
  • Manage Windows-based desktop/server environment with Active Directory, Office, and line of business applications such as QAD, PDM, and various other in-house developed applications.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Expert knowledge of Windows OS and M365 Applications including Office 365, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and other core Microsoft technologies.
  • Solid knowledge of iOS devices
  • Solid knowledge of network, server, and system architectures and diverse hardware and software platforms is required (incl. technical knowledge in Microsoft Server OS, Azure AD, Intune, and System Center Management tools)
  • Solid project management and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to perform at a high level, all tasks pertaining to IT operational support tasks and activities for a complex networked environment, including but not limited to desktops, laptops, storage, operating systems, business applications, telephony, wireless access, mobile devices, and related appliances/peripherals.
  • Result-oriented and a demonstrated ability to continually prioritize tasks, and work under pressure with sensitivity to deadlines.
  • Must have a customer focus, friendly manner, and good communication skills, including oral and written communication, timely response, and feedback, with ongoing updates to management and team members.
  • Experience performing support to remote users and systems using tools like RDP and TeamViewer.
  • Must be able to support and travel, if necessary.
  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule to accommodate after-hours projects as needed.
  • This position is not a remote work position. 

Education/Experience and/or Training:

  • Requires IT education or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 3 Years of IT experience in similar positions.  A 4-year degree can be used in lieu of work experience
  • Project Management experience a plus.
  • Industry-recognized technical certifications a plus
