ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

Based in the Houston area (Tomball, TX), the Corporate FP&A Intern will have a unique opportunity to work in a small Corporate FP&A team with coverage responsibility for a fast growing $400mm+ global manufacturing organization with plants and offices located across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. SHAPE Technologies designs and manufactures large robotics and automation systems, waterjet cutting machines, and ultrahigh pressure pumps.  In this role, the intern will primarily work with one of our Global FP&A Analysts but will have exposure to the VP of FP&A and other members of senior management.

Paid Internship:

$20 per hour

Job Description

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engage in daily interaction with team members, including professionals from other departments and management.  This is a hybrid job, though the majority of time will be on site in our Tomball facility.
  • Help to analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes
  • Assist with preparation of recurring and ad hoc internal, board of directors, and bank reporting packages
  • Develop and maintain reporting and analyses in our FP&A software (Tableau, Planful, etc.)
  • Help analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, COGS, SG&A expenses, and capital expenditures.

Qualifications

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Qualifications
    • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Accounting, or Finance
    • Preferably graduating in 2024 or 2025 (rising Junior or Senior)
    • Strong academic record

    • Excellent communication (both written and verbal), organizational, and problem-solving skills
