Job Description

Job purpose

This position acts as first point of contact for HR related queries from employees and external partners.   The main administrative duties include benefit support, managing HR documents, maintaining records, entering data into HRIS and other general HR support.  This is an administrative support role.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Assist in administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs
  • Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including entering data into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance
  • Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, organizational chart, and contributes to the development of policies
  • Support the full cycle recruitment for all positions: Advertise, screen, first level interview, schedule interviews 2nd level interviews for managers and HR Director.
  • Assists in the preparation of all Employment Offer Packages
  • Supports benefits open enrollment and other annual processes or communications
  • Assists in managing leave of absence, disability and workers compensation claims in accordance with federal and state laws.
  • Assists in the preparation of reports and presentations as required
  • Manages user login accounts and assists employees with accessibility issues
  • Assists in HRIS updates and systems changes as required.
  • Assists Director of HR with projects as needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of HR practices, compensation, benefits, HRIS
  • Strong, clear and approachable verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
  • Sound knowledge of State and Federal Laws
  • A self-starter with the ability to work on projects and function effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to be flexible and deal with ambiguity with everchanging priorities.
  • Demonstrated strategies for multi-tasking and managing conflicting priorities under stressful time sensitive situations.
  • Proficient user of MS Office applications and windows based HRIS software
  • Knowledge of Ultipro HRIS System desired

Education/Experience

BA with a focus in Human Resources or 2-4 years experience in an HR administrator role.
