General Purpose:

Provide site, and multi-site procurement support to secure required materials for Operations, Engineering, New Product Introduction, Services, 3PL and MRO needs.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Respond to ERP/MRP demand requests and issue purchase orders for needed materials to meet demand.

·       Manage suppliers on open orders, due dates, pricing, and quantities. Includes non-conforming material (NCR) returns or request for credit.

·       Responsible for supplier performance (Technology, Quality, Delivery, Reliability, Cost, Responsiveness)

·       Support the renewal of master supplier agreements including pricing and stocking levels.

·       Manage and update parts in ERP including lead times, safety stock, tier level and MOQ.

·       Responsible for maintaining inventory turns per organizations goals.

·       Participate in negotiation of pricing, supply chain efficiency projects

·       Ensure part/print compliance to Flow engineering requirements

·       Quickly identify and resolve issues to ensure timely identification and procurement of materials

·       Implement ECO’s including cost impact analysis, sending drawing, specs and RFQ’s to suppliers and setting up parts in ERP.

·       Respond to Accounts Payable inquires related to pricing and discrepancies.

·       Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

·       Knowledge of materials management, supply chain, distribution, warehousing and purchasing.

·       Experience with custom, highly engineered components and assemblies.

·       Strong oral and written communication skills.

·       Demonstrated business and contract negotiation skills.

·       High level of analytical ability where problems are complex.

·       Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.

·       Ability to work independently on projects and function effectively in a team environment.

·       PC proficient, working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Microsoft Dynamics AX experience desired.

·       Ability to read engineering specification and drawings

Education and/or Training:

·       Two-year degree or equivalent experience or training is a plus.

·       Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in purchasing/supply chain/transportation

·       Working knowledge of purchasing and supply chain concepts with APICS, CPIM, NAPM certification and/or association is a plus.
