Are you really cutting with water? This is a commonly asked question when people learn about waterjet cutting. This is why showcasing our technology live at tradeshows is a big deal for us. In a given year, we may exhibit at 10+ tradeshows, alongside many other innovators in the manufacturing industry. We’re talking large scale events, with live waterjet demos, systems cutting parts continuously, alongside standard trade show practices.

This position is responsible for the project management, coordination, operations, and final booth presentation for all of Flow’s North America tradeshows. This includes: pre-, during-, and post-show work like securing booth space, booth design, shipment and logistical coordination, acting as the primary show contact, coordinating exhibitor badges, booth staffing, dismantle, post-show analysis, etc. With large machinery on-site, there’s also machine install, electrical coordination, and plumbing considerations completed with the support of our tech service team.

You won’t do it all on your own, though. Under the direction of the Senior Marketing Director, you will work closely with internal stakeholders, outside partners, and event vendors to ensure successful execution.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work together with marketing, sales, product management, and project management to develop annual tradeshow plan and budget; make recommendations for which shows to exhibit at, what size booths to secure, which systems/products to bring, and appropriate budgets.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate records of spending throughout the fiscal year, work with the finance team to reconcile tradeshow budgets, and provide future tradeshow budget estimates.
  • Manage tradeshow timelines, event logistics, partner contracts, booth production timelines, vendor timelines, and creative deliverables.
  • Organize staffing, registration, and lodging for all tradeshow participants.
  • Create and own the tradeshow calendar, updating as necessary and communicating to all stakeholders as well as global marketing team.
  • Attend and actively participate in all major shows including onsite management of set-up and dismantling of booth structure, equipment, and any additional pieces.
  • Create and distribute post-show analysis for each tradeshow; evaluate ROI.

·         Strong project management skills with high attention to detail

·         Experience with complex budgeting and budget management

·         Ability to manage multiple project timelines at once

·         Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-departmentally & with outside partners

·         Travel – up to 40%

Education and/or Training

  • 5+ years minimum tradeshow management/support experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
