Job Description

General Purpose:

Oversee all activities connected to the production, assembly, testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of all pump systems and aftermarket assemblies.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Provide leadership and supervision of all assembly crews

·         Be fully knowledgeable and competent in all aspects of the Assembly I,II and III job                responsibilities

·         Provide technical expertise to customer base via telephone and, where necessary, at              customer site

·         Drive and ensure a safe work environment by modeling and requiring safe work                      practices above all other requirements

·         Foster a culture of continuous improvement by openly encouraging team input

·         Ensure high quality workmanship and practices are never compromised while                          maintaining productivity

·         Maintain an appropriate level of productivity without compromising safety or quality

·         Communicate recommendations for improvement using appropriate tools [Non-                      Conforming Product (NCR), Production Change Requests (PCR)

·         Ensure daily work is carried out in a clean and organized environment with a strong                emphasis on 5S habits.

·         Train and mentor new employees on best practices.

 

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

·         Well-developed interpersonal skills to work effectively with others

·         Be able to maintain a calm demeanor when dealing with stressful situations,                        particularly around customers

·         Ability to teach and mentor others

·         Must be self-motivated and able to recognize when guidance or direction is needed

·         Ability to work independently on projects, function effectively in a team environment            and lead and motivate others

·         Good oral and written communication skills

·         Possess a high level of analytical and mechanical ability

·         Good hand-eye coordination

·         Ability to read and interpret assembly blue-prints

·         Ability to work in a fast paced complex work environment

·         Strong understanding of hydraulics and electronics

·         Light fabricating/machining

·         Occasional travel

 

Supervisory Responsibility:

Yes

Education and/or Training:

·         High School graduate or equivalent experience and training (GED).

·         Minimum of five (5) years of experience with manufacturing assembly techniques                involving mechanical and/or electrical assemblies, or have gained experience and              knowledge within the company for advancement.
