Job Description

General Purpose:

The HR Reporting Analyst is responsible for processing complex, confidential, and time sensitive data. Identifying the needs and requests of the business and prepares the correct sets of reports. The reporting analyst identifies measures and metrics for HR strategic initiatives and sets the measurement methodology, which is consistent and comparable with the existing measurement available on the market.

Primary Responsibilities:

1.      Drive HR Analytics and Reporting Strategy.

2.      Creation of creative and compelling metrics, reporting and self-service dashboards in current HRIS for managers and leadership that are scalable as we grow.

3.      Develop analysis plans and apply appropriate statistical techniques and/or predictive modeling to answer workforce-related questions.  

4.      Analyze, evaluate, and reconcile HR data and metrics pertaining to headcount, retention, turnover, organizational charts, diversity, and overtime costs, and other future need.

5.      Design people metrics reporting and creation of materials for the VP Global HR and Executive Team, identifying key trends behind people data.

6.      Create and support the development of compelling workforce stories and actionable insights through HR business intelligence and data visualization.

7.      Develop data-driven analysis to support decision strategic decision making for HR and Business initiatives.

8.      Partnering with the HR, Leadership, Financial Planning, Finance, and others to assess and prioritize requests, diagnose needs, identify solution options, and solve existing reporting and analytics issues and business needs.

9.      Create and manage automated interface files between HRIS/Payroll, benefit providers, IT Active Directory, and others as necessary.

10.  Develop library of BI reports for HR managers, Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, Finance, Global Management and SHAPE Leadership.

11.  Develop and maintain systems for Global variable bonus plan reporting.

12.  Performs other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

1.      Knowledge of HR best practices with understanding of key HR processes.

2.      Strong analytical skills with predictive modeling experience and strong business acumen.

3.      Experience designing and developing business facing dashboards, and data visualizations in BI platforms such as Cognos, Tableau, or comparable tool

4.      Experience with data mining and creating/optimizing operational analytics and data model

5.      Strong skills using Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and PowerPoint

6.      Strong communication and data presentation skills, experience analyzing data and communicating the results to senior business leaders

7.      Excellent written and verbal communication; high quality document and report preparation

8.      Excellent interpersonal skills that can flow across a wide range of business partners

9.      The ability to break down high-level business problems into concrete analytical solutions, and to assess costs, benefits, and risks for the organization

10.  Ability to maintain highest standards of confidentiality, privacy, and protection of sensitive data. 

11.  Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently

Education and Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in HR or Business is preferred, or a combination of education and related experience
  2. At least 3 years previous HR experience with focus in reporting and analytics.
  3. 2 years’ experience extracting data from HRIS systems.
  4. Previous experience with UltiPro and Tableau a plus.
