Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Documentation and training content creation related to HMI, Tools, and CAD software products.
• Create and maintain help files, training, and online help content for internal and end-users of Flow waterjet software applications.
•  Content creation for external
• Software Development Process documentation and Wiki management
• Assist the software development team in documenting their processes as they grow
•  Capture new feature details as they are developed and work closely with the development team on new features and functionality.
•  Provide expertise and leadership and champion for modern documentation writing and help file creation for software.
• Software Release Management Assistance
•  Work with the software development team to capture release notes and communications.
• Assist the software development team in managing release code branches, download links.
• Document feature updates, procedures, build processes and build automations.

You have:

• A passion for communicating and teaching individuals about software through documentation, videos, and other mediums and can champion technology growth in these areas.
• The ability to organize information in a straightforward and easy to distribute manner.
• Solid background in content creation using formats such HTML, Web, CHM, Wiki.
• Solid understanding of Microsoft writing style guide.
•  Solid understanding of disciplined software development practices and version control systems as they relate to documentation.
•  Interest and basic understanding of software practices and help file creation and management.
•  Self-sufficient, responsible and motivated – you take pride in your work and deliver on time with the highest quality
•  Strong problem solving skills
• Flexible and adaptable – you enjoy both depth and breadth of project work
• Strong communicator – you are confident and clear in written and spoken communications both with your technical peer as well as with others outside your technical area

Education and/or Training:

•   2+ years of experience working as a software technical writer
•  Ability to work directly with the product software and high aptitude for feature self-discovery
•  Strong software and tech background, with an ability to explain complicated topics in simplified terms
• Strong English language skills including grammar, spelling, and punctuation for publication-ready content.
•  Strong editing skills to assure compliance to style guides and other writing guidelines  
• Ability to understand target audiences, and create content relevant to each.
• Ability to convey thoughts, ideas, procedures more visually
• Ability to easily create and modify image files 
• Strong skills and experience in single source and content management, including source control. 
• Ability to work quickly and independently with minimum supervision, proactive at information gathering
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster team collaboration and work closely with engineers and content specialists.
• Strong attention to details and readability of content
• Familiar with multiple content output types (Such as, PDF, MS Word, PowerPoint, HTML, Web,Chm) 
• Ability to develop publication-ready content for documents and online help
• Experience working in the areas of Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering
• Experience creating and using CSS, HTML, Video content, development scripting such as JavaScript, Video and Audio creation.
• Familiar with Source control systems (SVN, Azure DevOps, GIT)
• Familiar with work item tracking systems. (Azure DevOps, Jira, or other similar)
• Experience working with audio and video creation tools such as Techsmith Camtasia and JavaScript
• Intermediate to advanced working knowledge and experience using HTML, MadCap Flare, Robohelp, Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat), MS Word, and MS PowerPoint
