Who We Are.

Flow is the leading manufacturer of ultrahigh-pressure technology, including waterjet cutting and surface preparation. We invented the abrasive waterjet in 1974; we are proud of our roots. Pioneering many major developments in waterjet, Flow remains dedicated to the advancement of technology. When water is pressurized to ultra-high levels you can cut just about anything from diapers to steel. We are headquartered in Kent, Washington with our main manufacturing plant in Baxter Springs, KS and have offices in 16 countries and customers in over 50. We participate in a wide variety of markets, from aerospace, to automotive, job shops to artistic applications.

Who You Are.

As our Program Manager, you will function as the operational and commercial owner of the program with deep/growing product knowledge. Responsible for overall program inventory and forecast fulfillment planning and coordination, program development and continuous improvement planning. Unique combination of technical, commercial, company and competitive responsibilities to maximize and maintain market share through on-time delivery and quality objectives. As the Program Manager you will work in our Baxter Springs, KS manufacturing location and report directly to the SHAPE Global AM Product Manager.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Program owner. Knows market, product, product line, competition, and business opportunity deeply.

• Strong technical knowledge of product and application, understands technical complexities of design, manufacture, installation and use.

• Leader for decision making, resourcing and managing decisions related to program success, both commercial and technical. Defines success with KPIs, including quality standards and objectives, product specifications and deliverables associated with the program and surrounding influences.

• Project/program management leader for NPD in areas of UHP (Ultra-High Pressure) across all phases of product and program development and sustainment.

• Analyzes and identifies opportunities for process improvement, cost savings and product development to maximize program effectiveness and performance through successful data analysis and VOC.

• Responsible for alignment of resources across organization related to product, and for communication of product plans, strategies, decisions, escalations, impact and collateral.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Leader in the organization, proven ability to work cross functionally, cross organizationally, cross sites to accomplish objectives using teams and extended resources.

• Critical thinking capability, able to apply this to product and to decisions needed on daily basis, decisions include both strategic and tactical tasks. Able to think holistically but translate this into actions, and priorities.

• Outstanding communicator. Able to anticipate concerns and issues, able to use available data to develop roadmaps, plans, and to frame and make decisions. Able to communicate in writing, verbally and with actions both internally and externally with customers and suppliers. Strong listening skills.

• Understands financial planning, forecasting and budgeting in highly-challenging, technical and growing commercial landscape while effectively communicating within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Supervisory Responsibility:

Cross functional leader. Has responsibility for results but not direct reports or control. Must understand importance of relationship building and establish solid working relationships. Must be comfortable in matrix role, in negotiating resources and priorities and in creative approaches to achieving results on time, per specification.

Education/Experience and/or Training:

• Completion of B.S. degree in business or closely related field.

• Minimum of least 10 years progressive work experience in similar environments, various technical and business roles required.

• Technical background and competency, strong UHP product knowledge, ideally engineering or other technical credentials.

• Leader, driver, influencer, able to manage and balance workload while leading. History of execution, getting work done in challenging environments.

• Works well with other disciplines, ability to articulate issues and quickly execute, support and understand operations, marketing, sales, customers, factories, suppliers, engineers, across all levels, factory through executive management.

• Able to define clear measurable objectives, and measure progress against them.
