Job Description

General Purpose:

Inside Sales Representative is responsible for the direct sell and support of Flow aftermarket products and services within assigned geographic area.  Responsible for generating new business by following up on inbound marketing leads, qualifying their needs, selling appropriate Flow products and services, and developing strong customer satisfaction via phone (inside sales) and web contact.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Make outbound telesales calls to help recapture AM customers and grow market share.

  • Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends; identifying sales opportunities.

  • Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts from installation information; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; providing technical information and explanations; preparing quotations.

  • Closes new accounts by answering telephone, fax, and e-mail inquiries; verifying and entering information.

  • Develops accounts by checking customer's buying history; suggesting related and new items; explaining technical features.

  • Updates and maintains CRM database with account and contact information.

  • Updates job knowledge by studying new product descriptions; participating in educational opportunities. 

  • Provide sales and marketing feedback to appropriate FLOW personnel (i.e., competitive information to market research, etc.).

  • Works with Regional sales managers and customer care team to meet aftermarket business goals.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Prior Experience with Waterjet strongly preferred

  • Knowledge of or ability to learn waterjet applications.

  • Ability to transfer that knowledge to sales and customer support issues.

Education/Experience and/or Training:

  • BS in Engineering (Mechanical preferred), Sales/Marketing or Business, or equivalent of experience and training that provides required knowledge, skills and abilities.

  • Minimum of six (6) months of capital equipment sales experience or equivalent work experience.

  • Proven ability to close business via phone.

  • Working knowledge of MS Office suite applications.
