Job Description

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Lead, develop, and drive Component Shaping Group’s go-to-market strategies, championing our customer value propositions for the Flow brand and strategic use of TOPS and Aquarese-by-Flow brands in key market segments. Lead the development and implementation of global strategic customer acquisition programs, communication strategies, effectively promote CSG brands; achieving results through innovative marketing across all types of marketing channels (print, digital, social, media). Oversee both the acquisition and retention efforts of customers across multiple products, channels, and targets. Managing both internal and external marketing communications programs for Component Shaping Group brands, product lines, sales, distributors, aftermarket (customer and technical services), customers, international divisions and subsidiaries and supervising a staff of marketing professionals and inside tele-marketing personnel.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy Innovation:

  • Define the brand promise for CSG companies and execute programs to increase awareness and drive demand for ultrahigh-pressure waterjet solutions by Flow and supporting brands

  • Translate the company goals into a strategic marketing roadmap leveraging creative marketing solutions to drive measurable results

  • Lead commercial planning of new product launches and product related marketing opportunities from concept to commercialization

  • Develop insights from data to drive strategy. Working with product, engineering, and sales teams to assess competitive environment and market trends to identify new opportunities for growth

  • Support qualitative and quantitative research to develop key findings and recommend actions, partnering with outside vendors to execute.

Business Management:

  • Develop and manage tactical MarCom business plans for achieving CSG strategic initiatives. Drive product positioning, value proposition, and integrated go-to-market strategy for CSG products and technologies

  • Proactively develop budgets and annual plans for CSG, working with global commercial teams to execute, and consistently measure and deliver on those plans

  • Develop, build, and manage the execution of KPIs, lead the process for ensuring appropriate tracking is in place. With support from the BI team,

    • Develop reporting on key marketing metrics and ROI analysis of marketing activities

    • Manage customized dashboards crafted by analytics team for use by senior leadership and global commercial teams

  • Track key performance indicators and report them at required intervals. Work with local and global commercial teams to conduct countermeasures as needed.

  • Determine conference and tradeshow attendance for the CSG organization globally, working in tandem with global leaders to develop a tactical plan that maximizes impact with regional budgets

  • Work closely with and manage external vendor relationships including: a PR firm, an event production firm, a marketing agency, SEO and SEM agencies.

Marketing & Promotions:

  • Lead cross-functional and/or cross channel teams to develop integrated programs and promotions for CSG brand’s products, technologies and solutions. Responsible for the creation and implementation of global marketing communications programs to increase awareness and recognition of our brand, products and technology across multiple target markets.

  • Build strong relationships within a matrix structure to ensure marketing message consistency and adherence to brand guardrails

  • Art direct and oversee the CSG brands:

    • Manage all advertising including strategy, budget, and placement

    • Manage the production of marketing and sales materials, collaborating with in-house and outside resources to ensure the timely completion of projects within budget

    • Manage the deployment of direct marketing campaigns.

  • Manage the creation of captivating and relevant content for our websites, marketing collateral, and social media channels including

    • Managing 3rd party relationships/contracts required to develop and implement such content including external developers, marketing agencies, SEO and SEM partners

    • Through a direct report, supervise the maintenance and content creation of Flow’s corporate website, blogs, and manage Flow’s global website strategy.

    • Support writing and editing for internal and outbound communication including advertising, promotional materials, website content, newsletters, white papers, customer profiles, sales presentations and proposals, etc. – managing with agency partnership

  • Manage the execution of tradeshow strategic plans, globally by

    • Oversee exhibit/content design/execution/budget reconciliation through a direct report in partnership with an outside agency

    • Oversee (dotted line) reports in our global marketing teams exhibit/content design/execution in partnership with an outside agency

  • Manage Flow’s global translation program.

  • Supervise a staff of marketing professionals, inside marketing personnel, and partner vendors.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Creative and detail-oriented with above average organizational skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with ability to interact effectively in a team-based organization across multiple locations.

  • Strong command of the English language with excellent verbal and written communication skills, proven business writing experience, and the ability to interpret and explain complex information.

  • Experience with various communications media, including print, video, multimedia and internet.

  • Experience with desktop publishing, graphic design, image editing/optimization and PDF conversion/optimization.

  • Strong user of Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Office - Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • HTML experience.

  • Proficient with design and messaging concepts

  • Full working knowledge of graphic design principles

  • Equipment Used: Personal computer, scanner, digital still and video cameras, telephone, fax, copier and other standard office equipment.

  • Supervisory Responsibility: 6 – 15 global Marketing Professionals

  • Interface:  Extensive interaction with associates at all Flow locations, at all levels, customers, vendors and consultants.

Education and/or Training:

BA in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related area, or equivalent of experience and training that provides required knowledge, skills and abilities.

5-10 years marketing experience preferred.
