Job Description

SUMMARY

Wireless Intern title is used for those who are currently enrolled at a college or university and are working either part-time during the school year, and/or full-time during school breaks. Learns the C&P Wireless testing process. Operates various test platforms. Supports troubleshoot test platform issues to Sr staff members. Supports Sr staff to troubleshoot devices being tested.

JOB FUNCTIONS

• Learn the process of becoming a test engineer, to eventually perform Radio Frequency (RF) / Protocol Conducted testing and Over the Air (OTA) testing on mobile products with technologies such as GSM, UMTS, LTE , and 5G, to ensure delivery of testing services that meet client’s requirements in accordance with Global Wireless Forums’ test plans Carrier supplemental test plan and SGS quality system. 

• May execute RF testing on different TPs such as Anritsu 7873L/7873LA/7873NR, Keysight LTE H21, Keysight 5G FR1/FR2 RF/RRM/Performance, R&S 8980 4G 

• May execute OTA testing on ETS / R&S OTA chamber 

• Collect data from above TPs and enter the testing results into Labsure Database 

• Support engineers/PMs/Lab manager on the daily operations such as calibration data / training record /check in&out the sample/flashing the FW/SW on devices, etc 

• Complete all assigned chargeable work within the required timeframes to ensure customer and project staff satisfaction and efficiency of the business. 

• Ensure completion of all assigned work and relevant documentation in accordance with required procedures and standards to fulfill SGS quality requirements. 

• Assist in maintaining ISO17025 accreditation to ensure a high quality of service to clients. 

• Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures. 

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school degree or equivalent Required

• 1+ year of university experience in the science/engineering field Preferred

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS

• none

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

• Language Skills: English - Intermediate level Required

• Mathematical Skills: Intermediate level Required

• knowledge of statistical analysis Preferred

• Reasoning Skills/Abilities: Intermediate level Required

• Highly organized Required

• Strong logical thinking/skills Required

• Intend to major in BSEE / Telecom Preferred

COMPUTER SKILLS

• Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word) - Intermediate user proficiency Required
