Job Description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The company assessor performs assessments according to the bluesign® criteria as well as the follow-up for achieving compliance with the bluesign® criteria.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Preparation of company assessments according to the bluesign® criteria

  • Pre-evaluation of preparation documents
  • Company assessments onsite with report writing and related evaluations
  • Follow-up of roadmap for achieving compliance with the bluesign® criteria (implementation process)
  • Actualization and maintenance of the business process leading IT tool
  • Perform follow up assessments to monitor continuous improvement at company
  • Project work as needed and agreed
  • Ideally, should be able to undertake occasional business travel from the US to Canada and Latin America, subject to applicable travel requirements

Qualifications

  • Educational background: engineering/ natural science/ technical degree, ideally textile related  (e.g. textile engineer, chemical engineer, environmental scientist or similar)
  • Knowledge in the field of product stewardship, classification and labelling as well as regulatory affairs
  • Knowledge in the field of chemistry and/ or plastic industry manufacturing
  • Knowledge in the fields of environment, health and safety and prior experience with auditing
  • Professional experience requested
  • Good English skills (especially written)
  • Fluent in Spanish
  • Good communicator, who enjoys working in teams and in multi-cultural settings
  • Team player with proven ability to work independently
  • Ability to work under pressure and with good time management
  • Ability to exercise good and fact-based assessments

 

Additional Information

Compensation

The expected salary for this position is $70,000 to $83,000 per year. This range represents the minimum and maximum base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this role. Actual compensation within the range will depend on skills, experience, and qualifications.
