Job Description
We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Environmental Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in air quality monitoring, stack emissions testing, environmental compliance, and industrial hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct stack emissions testing and air quality monitoring in accordance with applicable local, national, and international standards.
- Perform monitoring and assessment of ambient air, indoor air quality, and industrial hygiene parameters.
- Analyze environmental monitoring data and prepare accurate technical and environmental reports.
- Support compliance with applicable environmental regulations, standards, and permit requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on emission control systems and pollution reduction strategies.
- Develop and maintain air quality management plans and pollution prevention programs.
- Conduct site assessments and participate in environmental audits and compliance inspections.
- Provide technical recommendations for emission reduction, environmental compliance, and improved air quality.
- Stay updated on environmental regulations, monitoring technologies, and industry best practices.
- Educate employees and stakeholders on air quality, emissions, environmental compliance, and best practices.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably with a strong focus on air quality monitoring and stack emissions testing.
- Qualified Source Testing Individual (QSTI) or similar certification.
- Strong knowledge of air quality regulations and environmental compliance requirements, including local and international standards.
- Proficiency in environmental monitoring instruments, data analysis, and reporting tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical reporting skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Additional Information
Preferred Skills
- Experience with air dispersion modeling software such as AERMOD or CALPUFF.
- Knowledge of emission control technologies and pollution reduction strategies.
- Arabic speaking and Arabic report-writing skills will be an advantage.
