Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and safety-focused Fire Assayer to join our laboratory team in Perth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous laboratory experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering accurate, high-quality results.

Duties include, however are not limited to:

  • Weigh, flux, fire, knock up, and cupellate samples in the correct numerical order.
  • Perform all fire assay activities in accordance with established quality control procedures while preventing contamination.
  • Manage the recycling and disposal of pots, slag, cupels, and other waste materials.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment within fire assay areas.
  • Carry out basic non-trade maintenance of fire assay equipment.
  • Complete all required paperwork and electronic records accurately.
  • Follow established communication and reporting processes.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Essential

  • Previous laboratory experience.
  • Current driver's licence.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to follow procedures and work safely in a laboratory environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable

  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Forklift License.
