SGS are looking for a Laboratory Assistant to join the team in Tennant Creek, NT. The roster will be 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off, days only. 

Responsibilities include include, however not limited to:

• Responsible for unloading, loading, sorting and weighing of samples onto drying racks while maintaining numerical order.
• Reconcile samples delivered with the supplied sample submission form listing extras and those not received onto the sample sorting sheet (iso sheet).
• Responsible for crushing, filter pressing, splitting samples and transferring sub-samples to for digestion while maintaining numerical order and following established quality control procedures and avoiding contamination.

The successful applicant will have:

1. Certificate IV in Laboratory techniques (desirable)
2. Previous Laboratory experience (desirable)
3. Experience with AAS and PAL desirable but not essential.
