Job Description

SGS is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Administrator to join our team based in Perth. This role is key in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of employee data and payroll transactions across our systems. The ideal candidate will have experience working with HR and payroll platforms, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to confidentiality and compliance.

What you’ll be doing

  • Entering new employee information into Workday and Ascender accurately and on time.
  • Processing employee job changes and terminations across payroll systems.
  • Responding to payroll enquiries through the shared inbox in a professional and timely manner.
  • Extracting employee payslips from Ascender ESS when required.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records while handling confidential information with discretion.
  • Working in line with SGS policies, procedures, safety standards and Code of Integrity.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous administration experience, ideally within payroll, HR or a high-volume data entry environment
  • Highly organised, efficient and comfortable working with sensitive information
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate Excel skills and the ability to communicate clearly with internal stakeholders will help you succeed in this role.
