Job Description
- Planning and Reporting: Actively participating in the development of annual financial plans and forecast updates, as well as preparing periodic reports and dashboards (e.g., KPIs) to facilitate business decision-making by management
- Financial Analysis: Comparing actual results with the budget and forecasts, and diagnosing the causes of variances
- Business Partnering: Ongoing communication with local controllers and managers from various countries to discuss results and act as a strategic business partner
- Automation and Optimization: Working to improve reporting tools and optimize processes, as well as implementing new solutions in financial systems (such as SAP or Oracle)
- Accounting Support: Close collaboration with the accounting department (Record to Report) during month-end close processes, ensuring the accuracy of financial data
- Risk Management and Control: Coordinating internal control and risk management activities for the GBS center and affiliates
Qualifications
- Professional Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience in controlling, financial analysis, auditing (e.g., Big Four), or accounting departments
- Higher Education: Degree in Finance and Accounting, Economics, Quantitative Methods, Econometrics, or a related field
- Certifications: Possession of, or currently pursuing, prestigious business certifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CFA, or CertGBS is a strong asset
- SSC/GBS Background: Knowledge of shared service center specifics and the internal client service model
- Advanced MS Excel (Must-Have): Proficiency in pivot tables, logical formulas, Power Query, and the ability to build complex financial models
- Systems & Tools: Practical knowledge of ERP systems (SAP or Oracle), Business Intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau), and EPM planning systems (e.g., Hyperion, Anaplan, SAP BPC)
- Finance & Accounting Principles: Practical knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP, and a solid understanding of the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements
- Analytical Capabilities: Ability to interpret financial ratios, calculate project profitability (e.g., ROI, NPV), draw conclusions from large datasets, and understand internal control frameworks and risk assessment methodologies
- Languages: Fluent English (min. B2/C1) for daily operations, reporting, and presentations. Additional languages are a significant plus
- Business Partnering & Leadership: Ability to work in matrixed organizations, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and clearly explain complex financial data to non-finance professionals
- Time Management & Resilience: Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain structure, and work under time pressure to meet tight deadlines (e.g., during quarterly forecasts and year-end closings)
- Mindset: Proactive, curious, detail-oriented, and improvement-focused approach to problem-solving
- Business Travel: Willingness to travel for business purposes (around 15% of the time).
