Job Description

  • Role based in Notting Hill, VIC.
  • Permanent Full Time
  • Remuneration: $90k - 95k per annum

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Paralegal to support our Legal team. The role is based in Notting Hill and has the potential to work from home on selected days. Which will be negotiated with the successful applicant. 

Responsibilities include, however, not limited to:

  • To deliver high‑quality contract administration management services provided to the SGS Business in Australia by the Legal Department.  
  • Undertaking legal reviews of customer contracts and coordinating departures and feedback with key stakeholders and negotiating contract terms directly with customers
  • Managing our Contracts Lifecycle Management system legal interface including managing intake coordination, assigning tasks and assisting with AI integration.
  • Managing the drafting and coordination of NDAs with the SGS business in Australia, New Zealand and PNG
  • Drafting and negotiating SGS template contracts and variations with stakeholders in the business and customers
  • Coordinating escalation of contract issues to Legal Counsel and Head of Legal
  • Monitoring contract performance and compliance with internal stakeholders, suppliers, subcontractors and other stakeholders
  • Resolving contract issues in dispute together with Legal Counsel and/or Head of Legal
  • Attending to approvals and execution of contracts (DocuSign and wet ink)

Assist Head of Legal and Legal Counsel with any other duties relevant to the position and skills at the discretion of Head of Legal or Legal Counsel including but not limited to: 

  • Administering the single point triage work intake system
  • Managing and tracking insurance review
  • Assisting Legal Counsel with Corporate Secretarial services and searches
  • Updating and managing of Legal SharePoint and OneNote internal management systems
  • Legal research, if required.
  • Updating legal information and policies on SharePoint and provide training , where required
  • Managing meetings and appointments.
  • Filing and document management

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a paralegal or similar legal support role

  • Strong experience managing contracts and legal documentation

  • Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills

  • High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and legal systems

  • Knowledge of CLM, Docusign

  • Knowledge of AI - Legora, Harvey or Co Pilot and willingness to learn and integrate it

  • Ability to work to deadlines
