We are looking for a Certification Centre Officer to be based in Hyderabad who will conduct audits, perform quality checks and issue certificates of conformity.

Job Description

  • Ensure timely and accurate issuance of Certificates of Conformity (CoCs) in line with quality and productivity targets.
  • Evaluate product risk, determine applicable standards, and perform conformity assessments based on Business Rules and scheme requirements.
  • Provide technical decisions on product classification, standards, and certification outcomes.
  • Review product documentation, test reports, and specifications to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Apply international standards (e.g., ISO, IEC) and regulatory requirements in assessments.
  • Conduct audits, gap analyses, and prepare assessment reports and corrective actions.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and traceability.
  • Address technical queries, resolve classification disputes, and support report issuance.
  • Monitor regulatory updates and implement necessary changes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a relevant technical field (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Environmental Sciences, Food Sciences, or related disciplines).
  • Strong technical knowledge in product design, manufacturing, testing, and specifications.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in conformity assessment, product certification, testing, inspection, or industrial standardization.
  • Familiarity with international standards and quality systems (e.g., ISO, IEC, ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17065, ISO/IEC 17020).
  • Knowledge of certification schemes and accreditation systems is preferred.
  • Strong communication and technical reporting skills.
  • Decisive, results-oriented, and able to exercise sound judgment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
  • Good understanding of international trade practices; experience in import/export or customs processes is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
