Job Description
The Agile PMO (PMO/Scrum Master) is a key member of the Information Technology (IT) and serves as a critical link between the technical teams.
This hybrid role combines structured project governance, documentation standards, and risk management within a PMO framework with servant leadership and facilitation of Agile software development teams.
In this role, you will act as the right hand to the Senior Program Manager, ensuring transparency, alignment, and delivery excellence across projects. You will manage project documentation, maintain risk registers, track project status, and report on key performance indicators, while also facilitating Scrum ceremonies and removing impediments to enable high-performing teams.
The ideal candidate is a structured and analytical professional with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of both Agile methodologies and traditional project governance practices.
The Agile PMO reports to the Senior Program Manager (Head of Project Management and Business Analysis).
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project documentation, maintain risk registers, and track project status reports, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and governance frameworks.
- Generate reports and dashboards (e.g., burn-down charts, velocity tracking, KPI reports) to monitor team and program performance.
- Follow-up on the project tasks and action items.
- Lead Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Standardize and integrate Agile practices within the broader PMO framework to improve delivery quality and predictability.
- Act as a servant-leader, proactively removing blockers and facilitating cross-team collaboration.
- Coach and mentor team members on Scrum practices and Agile principles to drive continuous improvement.
- Work closely with Product Owners and project teams to manage and refine product backlogs, prioritize tasks, and ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Facilitate communication between development teams, business stakeholders, and management to ensure transparency and alignment.
- Support portfolio-level reporting and contribute to process optimization within the PMO function.
Qualifications
- University degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) combined with project management or PMO responsibilities.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM or PSM) and/or Project Management certifications (PMP, IPMA, PRINCE2) are highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Azure DevOps (preferred), Jira or similar tools.
- Strong experience with Confluence, SharePoint, Microsoft Project and Power Point.
- Familiarity with Power BI is an advantage.
- Experience generating structured reporting and dashboards for stakeholders.
- Strong communication, facilitation, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
