Job Description

We are looking for a Field Sampling Technician to join our Environmental team based in Melbourne. In this hands-on role, you will carry out environmental and occupational hygiene sampling across gas, water, soil, air and waste while supporting the delivery and growth of field services.

Working closely with the Australian Field Services Manager, you will help plan and execute field programs, ensuring all activities are completed safely, efficiently and in line with company procedures.

This role offers varied fieldwork, including interstate travel, and requires the ability to drive a manual vehicle.

What you’ll be doing

  • Conduct environmental and occupational hygiene sampling across Australia in line with company procedures
  • Maintain and calibrate sampling equipment, ensuring servicing and documentation are up to date
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients
  • Support quoting and project coordination for field programs
  • Prepare permit applications and HSE documentation for site access
  • Assist with client enquiries and technical requests
  • Review reports and results prior to release to clients

Qualifications

About you

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in field sampling or a related role
  • Understanding of laboratory practices and sample handling
  • Current First Aid certificate
  • Unrestricted manual driver’s licence
  • Willingness to travel interstate when required
