In Australia, our Energy Minerals business is a leading provider of coal testing, analysis and expert advice and we are currently looking for Coal Technicians to join our Muswellbrook operations. We are seeking candidates who are looking for an exciting career change to work with a Global leader for quality and integrity in a full-time or casual role based in Muswellbrook, NSW. 

Job Description

Launch your career as a Casual Coal Technician in a practical, lab-focused role. You’ll develop hands-on experience in coal sampling, preparation and analysis, working within a collaborative team that values accuracy, safety and quality outcomes.

Following comprehensive training, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Assist with the preventative maintenance of all preparation and laboratory equipment.  
  • To ensure accuracy, precision and traceability of prepared samples.
  • Assist with the calibration of all preparation and laboratory equipment.
  • Follow routine and non-routine sampling instructions
  • Opportunity to obtain nationally recognised qualification if desired

Qualifications

  • Experience in a fast-paced, physically active industrial setting
  • Previous coal sampling/testing experience (advantageous but not essential)
  • Eagerness to learn and take on new tasks

  • Basic computer skills (e.g., Excel)
  • Team player with the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Flexibility to work shifts and rosters
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transport
