Job Description

We are seeking an experienced professional to become our Nuclear Business Leader, to develop and manage our Industrial & Environment business with Nuclear new build projects, both large scale and SMR, taking care of service development, marketing & sales, service solutions development and delivery support and supervision. Services include Work Supervision, QA/QC, Technical Assistance, Supply Chain Services, Non-Destructive Testing, Certification, etc. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in managing complex new build projects, with proven experience in setting service solutions in regulated environments. Experience in Power Plant new build and Nuclear strongly appreciated.

Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with SGS Poland’s operations and SGS global team, define and deploy the development strategy of SGS Nuclear business in Poland.
  • Drive the development of delivery capacity:
    • Adapt or develop target services, integrating specific regulatory, technical and operational requirements.
    • Drive the recruitment and qualification of delivery teams.
    • Identify, qualify and onboard local partners, acc. strategy.
    • Contribute to M&A target identification and technical-operational evaluation.
  • Drive the development of our business with operators, construction contractors or equipment supplier:
    • Identify opportunities,
    • Create, develop and manage client relationships,
    • Manage client requests and negotiate/ close contracts, with support by the legal team,
    • Meet or exceed agreed sales targets.
  • Supervise and drive ops start-up.
    • Manage the start-up of new contracts, in collaboration with SGS Poland operations.
    • Mentor and supervise teams, to develop competencies and autonomy.
    • Providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Provide spot support to opportunities and projects outside of Poland.
  • Use the tools provided (SalesForce, etc) to load and manage sales data.
  • At all times, comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on engineering projects – Conventional Power, Nuclear, Petrochemicals, etc.
  • Experience in project management, cost control, schedule management, and safety.
  • Experience in the management of regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Polish.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Engineer master’s degree in a related field.
  • Proven experience with complex large-scale new build project.
