The Senior Data Analytics will provide high-impact analytical, reporting, and category insights support to the North America Procurement organization. This role plays a critical part in minimizing the leakage of savings within the Laboratory spend through greater governance and oversight. The dashboards produced will support supplier spend concentration, catalog performance management, savings leakage by BU as well as other KPI’s and RFP analysis across categories.
This position will act as a central analytics hub, responsible for building a unified view of procurement performance, supplier fragmentation, spend consolidation opportunities, and forecasted vs. realized benefits. The role will also support large-scale sourcing projects, becoming the source of truth for NAM procurement data.
Key responsibilities include advanced data modeling, UNSPSC normalization, dashboard development, RFP analytics, savings tracking, catalog data preparation, and proactive collaboration with NAM leadership, suppliers, and category managers.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Analytics & Insights
- Lead the development of advanced analytics to support NAM Procurement across all categories.
- Analyze supplier fragmentation, SKU variance, price dispersion, and consolidation opportunities.
- Produce forecasted benefit models and savings calculations for large-scale sourcing initiatives.
- Perform UNSPSC-level classification, normalization, and enrichment of large procurement datasets.
- Provide insights to Procurement leadership to support strategic decision-making.
RFP and Sourcing Support
- Consolidate supplier submissions, normalize datasets, and validate commercial responses.
- Support bid comparison models, savings simulations, supplier scoring, and compliance tracking.
- Act as the analytical owner for large RFPs (e.g., 43M CHF laboratory RFP).
- Partner with suppliers and NAM stakeholders to validate product equivalencies and lab approvals.
Catalog Management & Data Governance
- Structure supplier catalogs aligned with consolidated category strategies.
- Support creation and maintenance of catalog-ready datasets for Oracle, Ariba, or procurement platforms.
- Ensure data governance and master data quality (pricing, SKUs, UNSPSC coding, supplier attributes).
- Collaborate with R2P teams to ensure catalog accuracy and integration readiness.
Reporting & Dashboarding
- Design and build Power BI dashboards covering:
- UNSPSC-level spend concentration by supplier, category, country, and business unit.
- Savings leakage tracking (forecast vs. realized).
- RFP pipeline and sourcing performance.
- Maintain dashboards on weekly/monthly cadence with strong data accuracy controls.
- Identify automation opportunities and streamline reporting processes.
Stakeholder Management
- Partner with NAM Procurement leadership, Category Managers, Finance, and suppliers.
- Translate data into clear insights and action plans for business users.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for spend analytics, catalog governance, and sourcing analytics.
- Prepare materials for leadership reviews, category strategy meetings, and supplier negotiations.
Requisitos
Technical Skills Requirements
- Strong knowledge and experience of Python
- Advanced Excel expertise (Power Query, Power Pivot, complex formulas, data modeling).
- Strong experience designing drill-down dashboards (Power BI required).
- Solid understanding of spend classification methodologies (including UNSPSC). – is a plus
- Ability to clean, normalize, and join large datasets from multiple systems.
- Experience with ERP systems (ideally Procurement or R2P modules: Oracle, Ariba, SpendHQ, etc.).- is a plus
- Knowledge of data governance principles and master data management.
- Proven ability to create structured datasets supporting catalogs and sourcing events.
Procurement & Business Skills
- Strong understanding of procurement lifecycle: sourcing, contracting, supplier performance, and spend analytics.
- Experience supporting RFPs, including data preparation, normalization, bid analysis, and savings modeling.
- Ability to translate complex data into insights for leadership and category teams.
- Experience working with suppliers and coordinating cross-functional discussions.
- Familiarity with catalog management and supplier consolidation strategies.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Economics or related fields.
- 4+ years of experience in data analytics,
- Experience in procurement analytics, sourcing support, or supply chain analytics. – (Nice to have)
- Experience in Shared Service Centers or global procurement organizations is a plus.
- English level: B2–C1 required (strong business communication skills).
