The Software Engineer ensures the quality and reliability of software solutions by designing, executing, and documenting test activities. The role works closely with developers and product teams to detect defects early, improve user experience, and support the delivery of stable, high-quality releases.

• Develop and maintain APEX applications in an Oracle environment, including complex PL/SQL backend packages.
• Support the deployment of APEX applications through a custom deployment system that uses Azure Pipelines for various development environments
• Collaborate with the members of a team of approximately 15 developers, architects, and analysts and end-user groups to ensure smooth application development and support.
• At all times, complies with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct. Remains familiar with SGS quality assurance procedures. Complies to all SGS QHSE and HR policies and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as may be assigned either in support of departmental goals or for his/her personal or professional training, education or development as programmed by his/her immediate superior.

• 2+ years of experience as an Oracle Apex Full Stack developer is required.
• 2+ years of experience as an Oracle PL/SQL Developer is required, with extended knowledge of complex SQL queries.
• Experience with deployment mechanisms, preferably in Azure (Azure Pipelines) is required.
• Experience with creation of - and interacting with Rest API’s is required.
• Experience with (continuous) development tools like Jira, Azure Devops is required.
• Proficiency in Git and branching strategies for managing code and documentation throughout the development lifecycle is required.
