We are looking for an HSE Management System Specialist/Auditor based in Qatar for our future opening.
Job Description
- Ensure effective implementation and maintenance of Health, Safety & Environment policies and programs to ensure compliance with HSE Management System
- Develop internal audit plans and schedules based on the organization's HSE management system requirements.
- Conduct thorough audits of departments to evaluate the effectiveness and compliance of the HSE management system.
- Identify non-conformities, potential risks, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare detailed audit reports that include findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of audit activities and results.
- Communicate audit findings to relevant stakeholders and ensuring timely follow-up on corrective actions.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on HSE management system requirements and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in HSE regulations, standards, and industry trends.
- Continuously evaluate and improve HSE programs and procedures to enhance the overall safety culture.
- Assist in the development of HSE management procedures, in compliance with all relevant quality standards and procedural/ legislative requirements
Qualifications
Certification Requirements
- CMIOSH (Chartered Member) or GradlOSH (Graduate Member) having NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or Certified Safety Professional (CSP). Also, should have following certification trainings
- Emergency Response & Preparedness from recognized institute
- ISO 45001 & ISO 22301 Lead Auditor Training
- Extensive knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations and standards, including ISO 45001, OSHA, BS, and other relevant standards.
Risk Assessment: Ability to identify, analyze, and mitigate risks associated with utilities operations, particularly in high-voltage environments and water distribution systems.
Incident Investigation: Proficiency in investigating safety incidents, determining root causes, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Regulatory Compliance: Thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements and the ability to ensure that all operations comply with local and international Health, Safety and Environment regulations.
Auditing: Proficiency in conducting internal management system audits in accordance with ISO 45001 & 14001 standards.
Soft Skills: Advanced capabilities with MS Office, including MS Office, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Microsoft Visio, Power Bl and HSE bulletin/ alert design Tools.
- Qualification: Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety, electrical/ mechanical/ chemical, Industrial or Fire & Safety Engineering from a reputed university.
- Experience: 12+ years of experience in Health, Safety & Environment Management System development and implementation in accordance with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
- In-depth knowledge of local and international HSE regulations and standards.
- Experience with conducting internal HSE Management System audits
- Strong background in risk assessment and incident investigation
- Fluent in English correspondence. Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage
- Requires mobile communication during normal and outside office hours for emergency contact.
