Job Description

IMO, part of SGS, is seeking a full time Senior Metallurgist to join the team in West Perth.

Responsibilities include, however not limited to:

  • Uphold and maintain document control and quality assurance standards.
  • Maintain a high level of communication with the Lead Metallurgist to completely understand and clarify the scope of work and project data interpretation
  • Take personal ownership and accountability for all aspects of project data management, folder management, collation and manipulation throughout project delivery.
  • Identify and obtain support or advice required for the planning, coordination and execution of work
  • Attend and contribute to weekly and client meetings.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Degree in Extractive Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or similar.
  • Experience in a broad diverse range of metallurgical commodities and unit operations.
  • Laboratory and project management experience.
  • Strong written communication and verbal as well as effective planning and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and highly developed organisational, planning and coordination skills.
