Job Description

In this role you will assist with planning and conducting IVA auditing activities, commercial and phytosanitary inspections, surveying, GlobalGAP, NZGAP audits for our Agricultural Commodities business.

This position will be primarily servicing the Bay of Plenty/South Auckland area, the successful candidate can be based in either Tauranga or Auckland.

What you will be doing:

  • Ensure that all inspection, verification, and auditing activity is planned and undertaken in an effective and timely manner and the corresponding administration is clear, concise, and accurate
  • Actively participate in all training programmes / assessments
  • Comply with any reporting functions specific to the position
  • Participate in an afterhours and weekend team roster to cover endpoint inspections and certifications as required
  • Achieve the highest levels of customer service to maintain and grow the commercial and statutory services as well as the general customer base
  • Some travel to other regions will be required from time to time

Qualifications

  • Agricultural product inspections experience or a Level 4 National Certificate in horticulture or a related discipline advantageous
  • Management Systems Lead Auditor qualifications – IRCA or equivalent
  • Relevant Food safety, internal auditing, and HACCP qualifications
  • Ability to read, understand and put into practice all quality assurance procedures necessary to complete assigned tasks in the required time and manner
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication, both verbally and written 
  • Proficient report writing and computer skills including MS Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as simple database management
  • Current and unrestricted New Zealand driver’s license and the ability to operate a manual vehicle
