We are seeking a highly experienced and competent Well Services/Workover Supervisor to lead offshore workover operations for Offshore Assets job in Oman for a Project work duration is 4-6Months.
The ideal candidate will bring minimum of 10–15 years of hands-on experience in managing and executing complex well intervention and workover activities. This role demands strong technical knowledge, proven leadership in offshore environments, and a proactive commitment to safety and operational excellence.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead all aspects of offshore workover operations, ensuring the highest standards of safety, environmental protection, and operational efficiency.
- Plan, organize, and execute workover programs, including but not limited to:
- Fishing Operations: Overseeing and directing all fishing and milling activities to retrieve lost or stuck downhole equipment.
- Pull Out of Hole Old Completion with ESP Pumps, TRSSV, ESP Packer, other Completion Jewelries: Managing at the rig site the safe and efficient retrieval of Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP) completions.
- Run In Hole of New Completion: Supervising the installation and deployment of completion systems with ESP, packers, SCSSSV, Downhole Gauge etc.
- Well Stimulation: Directing and monitoring acidizing treatments to enhance well productivity.
- Coiled Tubing Unit (CTU) Operations: Overseeing CTU activities including flowback, nitrogen lifting, well cleanouts and diverse CT fishing operations.
- Slick Line and Wire line Operations: Oversee and supervise Slick Line and wire line activities
- Well Testing: Managing well test programs and data acquisition to evaluate well performance.
- Ensure all well intervention activities are conducted in strict adherence to approved well programs, procedures, and risk assessments.
- Conduct pre-job safety meetings (toolbox talks), risk assessments, and job hazard analyses (JHAs) with the workover crew.
- Monitor and optimize operational parameters, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions, as necessary.
- Manage and coordinate third-party service providers and vendors, ensuring their adherence to contractual agreements and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate and detailed daily operational reports in Landmark EDM, well histories, and equipment logs.
- Preparing 10 day Look ahead and plan ahead for Services, Materials and Equipment
- Ensure all equipment are properly maintained, inspected, and certified for use.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the OQEP offshore workover team, fostering effective communication and teamwork.
- Participate in incident investigations and implement lessons learned to prevent recurrence.
- Mentor and coach junior team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations (e.g., OCG, environmental) and company policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10-15 years of progressive experience in offshore workover operations within the oil and gas industry.
- Extensive hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of:
- Fishing Operations
- POOH and RIH of Well Completions
- Acid Stimulation techniques and execution
- Coiled Tubing Unit (CTU) operations, including flowback and well cleanouts
- Slick Line and Wire Line Operations
- Well Testing procedures and interpretation
- Mandatory valid IWCF Level 4 (Supervisor Level) Well Control or Well Intervention Certification.
- All mandatory valid offshore certificates: BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Inductions Emergency Training) certifications (or equivalent, e.g., FOET, HUET, etc., as per regional requirements), and H2S OPITO or OPAL certificate.
- Strong understanding of well integrity, downhole equipment, and well intervention technologies.
- Proven track record of managing safe and efficient offshore operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment offshore for extended rotations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing multi-disciplinary teams offshore
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Computer literate (MS Office Suite).
