SGS is seeking a qualified and experienced EHS Lead / Supervisor to lead the delivery of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) services across multiple client-assigned projects. The lead / supervisor will oversee a team of EHS Executives and Senior Executives, ensuring effective implementation of EHS Management Systems in compliance with OSHAD, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and relevant national and international standards.

This role demands strategic oversight, operational leadership, and the ability to ensure timely, quality deliverables to clients while fostering a culture of efficient management, safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across all projects.

Job Description

  • Manage and lead a team of EHS Executives and Sr.Executives, ensuring clarity of roles, performance accountability, and effective coordination across active projects
  • Oversee end-to-end EHS project delivery across multiple client sites, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations, compliance expectations, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Monitor and track regulatory compliance, client-specific standards, and internal KPIs through structured reporting, dashboards, and periodic management reviews
  • Review and approve key EHS submissions (e.g., audit responses, incident summaries, compliance trackers) prior to client submission.
  • Coordinate and lead weekly or monthly status review meetings with client stakeholders and internal teams to assess progress, address concerns, and align on next steps.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for all EHS-related project matters, resolving issues raised by site teams, clients, or auditors in a timely and structured manner
  • Maintain and enforce a clear escalation and communication matrix to ensure timely resolution of non-conformities, incidents, or client queries
  • Ensure project documentation, audit readiness, and evidence of compliance are systematically managed and centrally accessible.
  • Support workforce planning, recruitment coordination, and onboarding of EHS personnel across projects, based on client scope and delivery schedules.
  • Provide senior management with updates on project risks, team performance, compliance trends, and resourcing needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 7 to 10 years of progressive EHS experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity
  • Certification in NEBOSH IGC / Diploma, IOSH, First Aid Level 3, and familiarity with OSHAD SF, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 frameworks
  • Demonstrated experience in managing EHS on multi-site or client-facing projects.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools is a must and working knowledge of EHS reporting platforms or audit software is preferrable
  • High integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
