Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
As the Project Engineer, you will be responsible for testing and client communication of projects being evaluated in a 3rd Party Laboratory. This individual will manage projects from the proposal process through the delivery of the final test report. Additional duties include the generation of quality procedures and work instructions along with the design and implementation of test fixtures as required.
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Review the design of Products for IEC CBTL scheme, CE Certification, and NRTL Certification
- Conduct tests in accordance with worldwide UL/CSA/ IEC and EN standards.
- Generate reports based on review and test data.
- Create quality procedures and work instructions.
- Create testing procedures.
- Travel to industry meetings and customer sites.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors in Electrical Engineer, Bachelors in Computer Science, or equivalent degree; or Associates of Science
- 2+ years of experience
- Experience with - UL/CSA 62368-1, UL/CSA 61010-1, UL 508 and similar.
- Experience operating DMM, Oscilloscope, Data Logger, and other various related test equipment.
- Experience working with certification agencies and data submittal.
- Familiarity with Battery Powered products, Laboratory Equipment.
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS
- Licensed Professional Engineer
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
- Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
- Must be motivated self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision.
- Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly professional environment.
