Job Description
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Perform administrative duties to support the maintenance of the quality management system.
RESPONISIBILITIES
General
- Ensure adherence to Standard Operating procedures
- Ensure adherence to company Code of Ethics
- Ensure all duties are performed in accordance with accepted service delivery standards.
- Maintain quality, efficiency and confidentiality of service.
- Liaise with and assist Quality Manager
- Perform any other reasonable tasks as assigned by direct line manager.
Quality System
- Support the Quality Manager with administrative tasks required for the maintenance and implementation of the quality management system
- Periodic maintenance / verification of equipment
- Updating of electronic records on SharePoint
- Updating of quality control charts
- Environmental monitoring
- Training / refresher training of staff on quality procedures
- Generation of system reports
- Adhere to all quality requirements of the SGS management system
- Report deviations and communicate instructions to improve and maintain the quality system.
- Conduct internal audits on the management system
- Compile data for management review
Health & Safety System
- Adhere to all safety requirements of the SGS management system.
- Actively participate in safety related activities
- Always wear appropriate protective clothing
- Adhere to all relevant Health & Safety procedures and protocols
- Keep workplace and equipment neat and tidy
SPECIFIC AUTHORITIES
- Cease the use of any equipment that may be deemed to constitute a safety hazard or entry to hazardous environments without the necessary knowledge and protection, and report the situation to higher authority to take action.
- Cease to carry on with work that may affect the quality (integrity) of services and report the situation to higher authority to take action.
- Initiate a formal improvement request when a deviation of the system occurs, possible improvements are identified or when nonconformity is identified.
- Other specific authorities as indicated on the Agri Food Laboratory Designated Staff List
Qualifications
Education
- National Diploma or equivalent
- Language: Proficiency in English and Afrikaans (Read, write, speak)
- Computer literacy in Word, Excel, Outlook (intermediate level)
Experience
- Administrative experience will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of ISO 17025:2017 will be an advantage
