Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

The MCS Compliance Coordinator is primarily responsible for the assessments of the minimum control standards, ensuring that action plans are in place for any deficiencies and that these are timeously closed out, as well as ensuring the understanding and awareness of these minimum control standards.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Perform objective MCS assessments for all entities
  • File and store all evidence and support documents relating to the MCS assessments
  • Assist with developing action plans for the identified ineffective standards
  • Report, track and communicate the MCS assessments and action plan tracking to the relevant stakeholders
  • Review that policies and procedures are relevant and effective in meeting all minimum control standards
  • Review that local policies are in line with group policies relating to the minimum control standards
  • Participate in updating relevant policies where and when required
  • Provide and/or facilitate documented training sessions on MCS requirements for ongoing awareness
  • Perform objective assessments and validations for all Southern Africa ICOFR submissions (submitted by process owners)
  • Back-up to Compliance Business Partner
  • AP payment releasing over month end
  • Participate in finance improvement projects
  • Be compliant to all SGS QHSE and HR policies and procedures.
  • At all times, comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Matric (Grade12)
  • Finance and/or business admin qualification

Experience:

  • Experience working with multiple entities
