Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Field Chemist to join our EHS Lab Services team in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. In this critical role, you will be responsible for conducting on-site chemical analyses, ensuring compliance with environmental health and safety regulations, and providing valuable insights to support our clients' EHS initiatives.
- Perform field sampling and on-site chemical analyses in various industrial settings
- Conduct laboratory tests and experiments to assess environmental health and safety parameters
- Analyze and interpret complex data sets, preparing comprehensive reports for clients and regulatory agencies
- Ensure compliance with local and international EHS regulations and standards
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and field sampling devices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement EHS improvement strategies
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on chemical hazard assessments and industrial hygiene principles
- Participate in the development and implementation of new analytical methods and procedures
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all analyses and field activities
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and promote a culture of safety within the organization
Qualifications
- Diploma's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an industrial or environmental setting
- Proficiency in various chemical analysis techniques and laboratory procedures
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards, with a preference for familiarity with local Saudi Arabian environmental regulations
- Experience in field sampling and on-site analysis
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong data management and reporting abilities
- Proficiency in relevant software, including Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and Microsoft Office suite
- Relevant safety certifications, such as HAZWOPER (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response)
- Demonstrated expertise in environmental health and safety regulations, industrial hygiene principles, and chemical hazard assessment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Willingness to work in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, and adapt to local working conditions
- Physical ability to perform field work and handle laboratory equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and safety
