Job Description

  • Supporting and advising customers on regulatory and normative requirements for electrical and electronic products, particularly household appliances and lamps/luminaires.

  • Managing, coordinating, and ensuring the timely processing of customers' test orders.

  • Being responsible for the professional development of the assigned area (household appliances or lamps/luminaires) and overseeing its development and expansion.

  • Representing the area at SGS events, trade fairs, and in standardization and expert committees.

  • Collaborating closely with colleagues from Sales, Key Account Management, and the laboratory.

  • Maintaining close coordination and regular communication with international laboratories and other locations.

  • Ensuring technical harmonization between locations and laboratories.

  • Conducting regular customer and market analyses.

Qualifications

  • Degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, or a comparable qualification.

  • Extensive professional experience in inspection and testing, with proven expertise in electrical safety, usability, and related areas within the household appliances and/or lamps/luminaires sector.

  • Demonstrating authority in customer interactions, with a strong focus on quality and cost efficiency.

  • Familiarity with retailer programs, along with strong connections to retailers and their sourcing offices.

  • A team player with excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Good command of English and a willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis.
