Job Description
The objective of the Quality Assurance and Trainer position is to:
- Interpret, build upon, and comply with company quality assurance standards.
- Maintain complaint and nonconformance processing through records and tracking systems, including root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Document quality assurance activities with internal reporting and audits.
- Develop improved standards for production and design and create testing protocols for implementation across all service lines.
- Identify training needs and take action to ensure companywide compliance.
- Undertake training for client and internal staff.
Qualifications
- Degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or other related qualifications
- Working knowledge of quality system requirements.
- Deep knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Solid experience in quality control.
- Having relevant experience in quality inspection, auditing, and testing is an added advantage.
- Experience in implementing corrective/preventive measures.
- Awareness or applied knowledge of certification programs in (Six Sigma, Quality Improvement associate, quality auditor, and quality engineer).
- Experience in the mining industry is a plus.
- Experience in given training.
Additional Information
Quality Assurance
- Plan, execute, and oversee product inspection and testing for quality and conformance to specifications and deliverables.
- Assist operations by tracking, documenting, and reporting quality levels related to the project.
- Investigate reports of product quality issues and ensure resolution in accordance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Develop or update procedures for capture, investigation, and documentation of product complaints.
- Monitor risk-management procedures, maintain problem logs, and report issues to managers.
- Provide training and support to quality assurance team members that covers systems, policies, procedures, and core processes.
- Proficiency in best practices for testing, version control, and defect management Adopt, at all times, a safe behavior by exercising due regard for the health and safety of SGS employees in line with SGS policies and procedures.
- Comply, at all times, with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct to support business.
- Ensure team members comply with relevant procedures and work instructions; ensure team members use correct templates and comply with ISO requirements.
- Developed quality audits to provide quality metrics and support performance management.
Training
- Create and revise training curriculum, develop refresher training, and other materials to improve staff and client operational performance.
- Knowledge of learning management systems, instructional design, e-learning platforms, and traditional and modern training methods.
- Train on company policies, department procedures, and soft skills training relevant to audience and purpose.
- Lead and train confidently in all training environments (live and digital), presentations, and as otherwise required.
- Maintain version control for all training materials and knowledge base.
- Evaluate relevance of training curriculum and outcome of training sessions.
- Identify skill gaps by conducting training needs assessments, analyzing performance data, and collaborating with project team.
- Lead and/or participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes, technology enablement, and customer experience.
- Define and create new best in class processes and materials for implementation.
- Develop training material required for training.
- Create and administer training appropriate to the client and for team/individual performance improvements.
