Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will manage Oil, Gas & Chemical business across Saudi Arabia and ensure conformity with the company’s quality systems, procedures and processes. He/She will also develop business to ensure revenue generation and profitability with long term successful performance.
Job Description
- Develop plans for Oil, Gas & Chemical business line.
- Assess current and future market demands.
- Plan for short and long-term goals, new services, diversification and business development
- Monitor performance of Branch Heads and Managers
- Ensure compliance with SGS policies, procedures, and code of integrity.
- Provide consulting services to local clients in the field of OGC Testing, assess their perception of our services and identify opportunities for further improvement.
- Prepare monthly reports and clients progress reports.
- Liaise with customers and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Handle administrative issues within the department.
- Through best use of appropriate resources, ensure the quality and performance of Oil, Gas & Chemical Laboratories in SGS KSA.
- Manage Oil, Gas & Chemicals staff including sub-contractors
- Adopt, at all times, a safe behavior by exercising due diligence for the health and safety of SGS employees in line with SGS policies and procedures.
- Implement Quality management system and ensure compliance with ISO requirements.
Qualifications
- Degree in Science, preferable Chemistry
- Fluent in English
- 15+ years of experience for countrywide operations with experience leading big teams in multiple locations within OGC business including downstream, traders, refineries.
- Fuel testing knowledge is an added value
- Quality (ISO) experience or qualification is preferred
- Knowledge/ experience in inspection services
- Strong change management capability
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Able to adequately represent the companies with confidence; and establish and maintain relationships with customers
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Maintain a high level of quality and accuracy
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Able to work effectively with minimal management guidance/supervision
- Strong personal commitment to achieving high performance within the workplace
- Ability to work under pressure and meet targets and deadlines
- Able to work in a busy office environment that often demands high levels of concentration
