Job Description

  • Reporting of hazards, near misses, incidents for the site
  • Reporting monthly H&S KPI’s for the site
  • Assist with the implementation of the H&S Top Page for the site
  • Perform H&S Inspections using checklists
  • Prepare other H&S checklists, training requirements on a monthly basis for designated staff. Receive the H&S checklists and trainings and perform spot checks.
  • Log all Hazards & BBS into Crystal module
  • Assist with the facilitation of Risk Assessments for the site.
  • Schedule and conduct H&S trainings
  • Conduct H&S Induction and Onboarding
  • Schedule medicals as per medical surveillance program
  • Assist with the implementation of H&SMS and local HSE regulatory requirements at responsible site
  • Promote HSE awareness (Campaigns, awareness, communications etc.) throughout the responsible site
  • Assist with the implementation of Global H&S Initiatives throughout responsible site where applicable (Safe Start, Stellar, Safety Month, Quarterly Campaigns, Safe Talks, SGS Rules for Life, Stop Work Authority, BBS, etc.)
  • Form part of internal & external H&S audits & H&S site visits and assist with evidence preparation etc.
  • Adhere and ensure adherence to all safety requirements of the SGS management system.
  • Perform any reasonable tasks assigned to the job holder to support the overall OI strategy

Qualifications

Education

  • SAMTRAC (Completed or in progress)
  • Any HS&E short courses

 

Additional Information

Be a South African citizen (be able to produce a valid South African ID document)

-Be between the ages of 18-30

-Must be currently unemployed

-Must have no criminal record

-Must be willing to relocate to Randfontein

  • Exceptional Computer Literacy (use of MS Office suite – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
