Reporting Line

    • This position reports to the Business Development Manager

Primary Responsibilities    

  • Prepares distinct action plans in line with the overall business and sales strategies to ensure a targeted and focused approach that consistently contributes to the overall growth aims of the business
  • In-charge of developing new businesses, generating new sales opportunities and managing key accounts in order to meet required revenue targets

Specific Responsibilities   

  • In conjunction with overall sales strategy, create sales and business development plans to grow SGS revenue for designated industry, market segment, accounts and/or geographical location
  • Conduct market analysis to find out industry needs, pricing and trends to capture business opportunities
  • Establish strong market presence through consistent participation in various industry affiliation and events
  • Identify, conduct research, plan and contact potential clients to establish new business in order to achieve targeted revenue growth
  • Maintain positive relationships with current and potential clients through consistent customer engagement
  • Anticipate, identify, and acknowledge client’s needs and pains and translates those into sales opportunities
  • Prepare quotation, service agreement, and tender within set deadlines to achieve sales performance targets
  • Ensure timely and professional submission of all information and proposals as requested by clients, ensuring follow-up until closure
  • Prepare and submit timely and accurate reports of Weekly Activity Report and Weekly Activity Plan
  • Resolve customer complaints by addressing problems, facilitating the development of solutions, preparing reports and making recommendations to managers
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and achieve timely settlement of account receivables with SGS
  • At all times, adopt a safe behaviour by exercising due regard for the health and safety of SGS employees and clients, in line with SGS policies and procedures
  • At all times, comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned either in contribution to departmental goals or for his/her personal or professional training, education or development as programmed by his/her immediate superior.
  • Comply with the Quality, Health and Safety, Environment and Energy (QHSEE) policies and supporting objectives including, but not limited to:
  • Demonstrate strong obligation to SGS QHSEE policies, procedures and work instructions by actively participating in meetings, projects and events, complete required training, intervene in unsafe situations, refuse unsafe work, and comply fully with all applicable laws and regulations related to HSEE
  • Perform appropriately and immediately to emergency situations and assist other staff members in maintaining readiness to respond to emergencies within the workplace
  • Dispose or direct the disposal of waste generated as a part of daily work performed in a safe manner and in compliance with the disposal regulations and requirements, and in accordance with SGS Environmental Management System requirements
  • Report all incidents, including near misses and hazards, that may affect the achievement of QHSEE objectives in accordance with SGS Incident Reporting and Management requirements
  • Efficiently use all equipment, including safety equipment, and company owned property in the manner intended and reports any damaged / lost equipment to immediate superior
  • Maintain a safe and tidy worksite according to the organization’s 5S program and guidelines
  • Maintain awareness of the safety and health related hazards and environmental aspects and propose action plans to control the risks to immediate superior or QHSEE Coordinators
  • Actively participate in incident investigations and risk assessments as deemed necessary by SGS management
  • Fulfill the requirements needed in the success of the QHSEE Management System
  • Recognize the potential consequences of not following the established policies, procedures, and guidelines, including not fulfilling the organization’s compliance obligations

Qualifications

  • College graduate (Engineering and allied courses, Business management degree holders)
  • Must be willing to work on a hybrid set-up (Makati office)
  • Must be amenable to work from Monday - Friday (8 AM to 5 PM)

Additional Information

Experience/Technical Knowledge

  • Preferably with 1-2 years business development, sales or technical experience preferably in the industries SGS serve 
  • Fresh graduates are also welcome to apply
