Job Description
- Job Title: Molecular Biology Scientist
- Job Type: Permanent
- Hours: 35hrs per week, 9am-5pm
- Job Location: Glasgow
- Salary: From £28,000

As a Molecular Scientist, you will specialise in the study of molecular processes within living organisms. This field involves investigating the structure, function, and interactions of biological molecules, such as DNA, RNA, proteins, and other cellular components.
- Conduct and lead molecular research projects with a focus on innovation and pushing scientific boundaries.
- Develop and execute experimental plans utilising state-of-the-art molecular techniques.
- Analyse complex molecular data sets, deriving meaningful insights to inform project direction.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, fostering an environment of knowledge exchange.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you’ll have a Scientific background and will be educated to a degree level in a relevant discipline including practical laboratory modules (e.g. BSc Hons in biological science), alternative equivalent level of expertise may be appropriate.
In addition to the above you’ll also need to demonstrate the following;
- Good communication skills, verbal and written
- Ability to work under pressure, to tight timelines
- Experience of working in a GLP/GMP environment, or equivalent
