Job Description

We are looking for a Monitoring Services Technician, Field Services to join our Smart Sense team! The Monitoring Services Technician, Field Services, is responsible for performing in-field installation, calibration, and maintenance of continuous monitoring units at client sites and remote monitoring of data. The Monitoring Services Technician, Field Services is expected to follow all health and safety protocols and document all field activity, as outlined in the company standard operating procedures. This position is required to commute to/from client sites and is expected to demonstrate safe defensive driving behavior and maintain a satisfactory driving record. This position is also required to obtain and maintain any State/Federal required certifications for going onto client property, such as CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) certification with the State of Massachusetts. This position is expected to provide great customer service in the field for Smart Sense clients.

Job Functions:

  • Coordinating internally and with clients to secure access when necessary, prior to going onsite.
  • Reading, understanding, and traveling with system installation, calibration, and troubleshooting equipment and manuals.
  • Inspecting, analyzing, and troubleshooting systems onsite. This includes documenting and communicating unresolved issues encountered in a timely manner.
  • Working with operations team and field team members to complete field objectives of each project.
  • Leading health and safety meetings when needed.
  • Documenting field activities properly before leaving the site and uploading into central system from phone or computer daily.
  • Maintaining and ordering proper equipment and supply inventory that may be needed onsite for installations, calibrations, and repairs.
  • Remote monitoring of databases used to support Smart Sense clients.
  • This position requires the candidate to travel upwards of 80% of the time.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience in a science or technology field of study OR Associate’s degree and no work experience in science or technology. (Required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a science or technology field of study (Preferred)
  • Experience in an environmental or industrial hygiene laboratory (Preferred)
  • Valid driver's license (Required)
  • Proficient English language skills (Required)
  • Basic mathematical and reasoning skills (Required)
  • Basic computer skills (Required)
  • Strong customer service skills (Required)
  • Ability to lift/carry/push and/or pull upwards of 50 lbs on a constant basis (Required)
